Is it ok to have a turtle shedding to a red looking color on a little spot of his shell?

ok so i have this red eared slider turtle and i just got it like 3 weeks ago and at the top of its shell it is shedding.And you can see that under the green layer of shell there is red. and i was wondering if that was ok.
